Mona Lisa celebrates... and recovers...

I liked the little shrine to Ganesha, the Elephant God, that was adjacent to the elephant pens.

Among my Hanukkah presents from my friend Elaine I found this lovely magazine that she's been saving for me. I've never seen this particular Mona Lisa by Peter Max -- I think I've seen a different one.
"... and my lips say Thank You"... was Mona Lisa's statement inside this card. This is one of my all-time favorite Mona Lisas because it's totally re-drawn. I also like these:

A gift from the Magi?
To Olga: you wrote that the postcard was not Mona Lisa, but was the icon of Buones Aires -- I'm sorry, but I had to take off from there... Mae

We're on the way back to San Diego next month. These scrap book pages are from our most recent long stay there in 1975. The fabulous turn-of-the-[20th]-century Coronado Hotel was actually a bit seedy at that time; now I think it's been way upgraded. We'll get to know all those old favorites again, but I expect to find things very very different. Except the weather: permanently ideal.
