Adaptation

In a rest stop in Nebraska or Iowa on the way from Aspen to Ann Arbor, I saw an example of a really well-adapted little bird. It was standing on the bumper of a truck or SUV and picking the freshly killed insects of the grille. Mmmm... fresh meat! Unfortunately it flew away before I could get a photo.

I agree with Mimi, Mae. What a sight that must have been, lol...

When I was choosing a new camera this time I went for continuous snapping just for reasons like this. Of course I haven't figured it out yet:)

I'm so delighted you will be bringing the letter A to the picnic. I know we usually have fun but something tells me this year is really going to be THE BEST!

Thanks for sharing, Mae. I got to use my imagination for this post. Never a bad thing:)

The photo op problem here was that I simply didn't have my camera out at all, as I wasn't expecting to see anything photo-worthy at a rest stop along Highway 80 crossing the plains. So it goes...
