New Buffalo, MI, Welcome Center just after the Indiana-Michigan state line |
This afternoon we made a stop at the New Buffalo, MI welcome center, which claims to have been the first state line welcome center in the national highway system. Our entire trip from Aspen to Ann Arbor was happily uneventful; even the construction sites along the highway were not terribly congested. We spent last night in Lincoln, NE, and thus managed to make the trip in 2 days, around 11 or 12 hours per day.
Blossoming trees at the welcome center appeared to be at their peak. So Michigan looks beautiful to us.
