

In the distance, we often saw enormously long trains carrying hundreds of containers; some said "China" in big letters. Below: you can almost see the train making it across the open spaces:

Finally, crossing the Mojave, we saw Joshua trees and blooming cactus and desert flowers. Approaching San Bernardino: another descent; snow-covered mountains tower over the curving road.

Usually when we make that ride it's from Kingman TO Flag and it's dark (winter, after Rick's trade show!). I see what I have missed!
