Here she is: my Mona Lisa Barbie. This is my first -- and last -- Barbie doll in my whole life. I guess. Unless they make a Leonardo Ken with a paintbrush or something.

Several years ago, on impulse, I bought a Jane Austen "action figure" and posted about it on facebook. However it was not all that interesting, so I gave it away to an enthusiastic respondent.
I'm wondering whether your figure is an actual Barbie doll, or are you using the term generically?
Yes, it's a real Barbie doll from the Barbie collectors series. I have a Leonardo action figure from the series you mentioned -- also Shakespeare and Jane Austen and Einstein, I think.
I have three blogs. Mae's food blog is about food in books, in history, and in my life. Maestories is about family history, and I'm currently adding material on my grandparents' lives. Maetravels is about travel, about my Mona Lisa collection, and anything else that occurs to me.
